It is our mission to transform the global travel mentality by expanding our clients’ knowledge of, and exposure to, a slow and considered way of exploring. Over and above our emphasis on ethical operations internally, we work with likeminded brands and partners to build ethical choices into our travel itineraries, promoting tours, accommodation providers and experiences that benefit local communities and ecosystems.

Carbon Positive Australia is an Australian charity that has been restoring degraded lands through ecologically sensitive planting for the last 20 years. To date they have restored over 5,000 hectares, planted over 6 million trees and captured 668,799 tonnes of carbon, collaborating with landholders, communities and environmental organisations.
We share their philosophy of encouraging everyone to make climate-healthy choices that go beyond being 'carbon neutral'. While reducing our carbon dioxide emissions is essential to limit the impacts of climate change, developing a 'carbon positive' approach has wider social, environmental and economic benefits.
Carbon Positive Australia’s educational tools - such as their new carbon footprint calculator - help all Australians to understand their impact and take action for a healthy climate.

As a business, Y Travel is conscious of our responsibility to actively give back.
Our co-founders, Yvonne & Allan Verstandig were both raised in households that espoused giving back. Helping others who were less fortunate and giving back to the community in any way possible became a fundamental part of who they were. At every turn, they have always tried to make a positive difference.
Upon starting Y Travel, Yvonne & Allan saw an opportunity to put their passion for philanthropy to practical use by implementing a CSR charter that enables the business and our clients to contribute to those less fortunate.
Every year, Y Travel strives to make a tangible difference, and for every night that our clients book one of our 18 Preferred Partner Hotels - anywhere in the world - Y Travel will donate $1 to a chosen charity.
