Founded in 2020 by seasoned industry professional, Yvonne Verstandig, Y Travel fuses the solid reputation of boutique Virtuoso agency, Trans World Travel, with a fresh, contemporary ethos.
Our combined team boasts decades of knowledge, incomparable lived experience, and the belief that travel can be positive for the planet. We promise personalised, skilled and purposeful service for discerning travellers.
Like all great names, Y Travel is a play on words. It pays homage to Yvonne, our founder; to our industry-leading set of ‘why factors’ that enable us to deliver intuitive travel solutions; and to our vision, which is to redirect the travel industry toward a more purposeful path by encouraging travellers to ask the ever-important question… ‘why?’.
We exist in the intersection between passion and intention, where our clients are empowered to explore the world in a way that is both curated and considered. We design our clients’ travel plans according to what kindles their wanderlust, inspires them to seek new experiences, and the emotions they wish to evoke.
We complement their vision with our own – to transform the collective travel mentality into a slower and more sustainable paradigm where possible – and we do so by working with likeminded brands and partners.
