Travel the Y Way offers bespoke, immersive small-group journeys, bringing together like-minded travellers to experience the world with purpose, passion, and style.

Guided by our eight 'Y Factors' - Adventure, Artistry, Culture & Community, Generosity, Nature & Sustainability, Taste, Wellbeing, and The Unexpected - we craft journeys that go beyond the ordinary. Each experience has one Y Factor at its heart, while the remaining seven are woven seamlessly throughout, creating a layered, memorable adventure.

We are thrilled to present our very first Travel the Y Way Wellbeing journey, September 13-20, 2026. Discover a different side of Bali with our Movement & Wellbeing Expert, Dr Tanya Cates, across two exceptional COMO properties: three nights at the vibrant, coastal COMO Uma Canggu, followed by four nights at the serene COMO Shambhala Estate in the island’s spiritual heart, a seamless transition from playful, ocean-side wellness to deep, restorative rejuvenation.

Your Wellbeing Week...

Day 1 (Sunday) - Welcome to Bali!

Welcome to Bali. After your transfer from the airport, settle into your beautiful beachside room at COMO Uma Canggu and soak in the coastal energy of this vibrant surf town. 

The afternoon is yours, perhaps begin with a one-on-one Pilates or exercise physiology session with our Movement & Wellbeing Expert, Dr Tanya Cates. As the sun sets, we'll gather for Welcome Drinks and a spectacular seafood BBQ on the beach, where you'll meet your fellow travellers and set intentions for the week ahead.

Day 2-3 (Monday - Tuesday) COMO Uma Canggu

These coastal days blend adventure, creativity, and ocean-side wellness. Rise for a guided beach meditation with Tanya, fuel up with a healthy COMO breakfast, then head out on an E-bike tour to the iconic Tanah Lot sea temple. Later in the week, enjoy a mat Pilates class on the beach and a sensory candle-making workshop with Seven Senses - plus a mocktail-making class to kick off one of our evenings.

Afternoons are yours to design: indulge in a massage, explore the neighbourhood, relax by the pool, or try an optional experiences such as horse riding on the beach, or surf lessons.

Each evening, we gather for dinner at COMO's Beach Club - delicious, healthy, and always shared in good company.

Day 4 (Wednesday) - Canggu to Ubud

As we farewell the coast today, we rise before the sun for an endorphin boosting ‘Vibe Rise’ experience on the beach - breathwork, meditiation, and dancing into the morning like no one's watching.

After a leisurely final few hours in Canggu, we make the scenic journey to COMO Shambhala Estate, trading coastal energy for the tranquil, lush hills of Ubud. Upon arrival, settle into your jungle residence before experiencing a beautiful riverside picnic and one of the trip's most profound moments: a group water blessing with a local priest at a sacred spring - a beautiful introduction to the heart of Balinese spirituality.

The afternoon is yours to explore, rest by your residence’s pool, or take the steps down to the stunning spring water pool overlooking the Agung River.

Day 5 - 7 (Thursday - Saturday) - COMO Shambhala Estate

Three full days immersed in Shambhala Estate's jungle sanctuary. Each morning begins with a pre-breakfast session exclusive to our group - Qi Gong, yoga, or a bicycle tour through rice paddies and rural Balinese countryside.

Across these days, you'll experience a rich variety of wellbeing moments: a Shambhala cooking class exploring COMO's nutrition philosophy, a traditional Balinese blessing-making class, and a community generosity excursion. Leisure time is generous and intentional - book treatments, join COMO's scheduled classes (breathwork, hydrotherapy, meditation, yoga, mindful mandala and more), or simply be still by your private pool.

Optional adventures include river rafting, a palmistry and astrology reading with a village healer, or a visit to Ubud town centre for some local shopping.

Evenings bring us together in beautiful settings - Glow restaurant, Uma Cucina, and a surprise Farewell Dinner to celebrate the journey.

Day 8 (Sunday) - Farewell!

Our last morning begins with a guided gratitude meditation with Tanya - a moment to reflect on the transformation and connections made throughout the week.

After breakfast and one final class, bid a heartfelt farewell to the COMO team and your fellow travellers before your airport transfer, or continue onwards to your next adventure.

Meet Your Travel The Y Way Movement & Wellbeing Expert…

Dr Tanya Cates

Dr Tanya Cates, Director of Fit Advisor, holds a PhD in Applied Science alongside accreditations in Exercise Physiology, Pilates, and Health Sciences - bringing over 30 years of industry experience and more than 20 years of teaching anatomy and movement to her practice. 

As an internationally certified Balanced Body Pilates Instructor and Educator, her understanding of the human body is as profound as it is practical.

What sets Tanya apart is her philosophy: wellbeing is not about deprivation, but about intelligent, purposeful wellness. She believes everyone is at their optimum when they are fit, healthy, and genuinely enjoying the process - combining strong physical foundations with joy, humour, and real-life balance. This approach shapes how she works with each individual, unlocking a deeper sense of happiness, confidence, and self-worth that extends far beyond a single week in Bali.

Tanya is the perfect movement & wellbeing expert for our Travel the Y Way journey, sharing her expertise through educational one-on-one sessions and uplifting group classes within the world-class facilities at COMO Uma Canggu and COMO Shambhala Estate.

Yvonne Verstandig

Yvonne Verstandig is the founder and director of Y Travel, which she launched in 2020 after nearly two decades in the travel industry. With a vision of how transformative travel could be, Yvonne created Y Travel as a bespoke luxury travel agency, with its philosophy tailored around eight 'portals of passion' - the Y Factors - curating experiential journeys tailored to each traveller's unique interests and desires.

A travel industry visionary, Yvonne has won multiple prestigious awards, sits on advisory boards of some of the world's most renowned luxury travel brands, and hosts Y Travel's annual Ski Buzz European ski safari. She will be joining the group to share in the beautiful surroundings, immerse herself in the rich Balinese culture, and be on hand to assist with organising any optional experiences or additional travel arrangements you may need. Pricing and Inclusions

On a Travel the Y Way small-group journey, we take most of the decision-making and additional expenses out of your hands.

Your luxury accommodation, nourishing and delicious meals, and the immersive wellbeing experiences outlined in the itinerary are all included, so all you need to do is relax and enjoy.

Of course, we understand that some flexibility is welcome, which is why select optional excursions are entirely up to you. Do as much, or as little, as you like.

Y Travel is happy to assist with your flights, transfers, travel insurance, or any further travel arrangements.
