COMO Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos Islands

ADVENTURE

With properties nestled amidst majestic mountains and perched along clear, tranquil waters, COMO properties offer unparalleled opportunities to experience our adrenalin-pumping Y Factor -  ‘Adventure’. Hike through the striking Bhutanese mountains surrounding COMO Uma Punkha and COMO Uma Paro, go sailing in the clear Caribbean waters off COMO Parrot Cay, or explore a magical underwater wonderland with a scuba diving expedition from COMO Maalifushi in the Maldives.  Adventure-seekers can raft the rapids of the Ayung River, a short excursion from COMO Uma Ubud in Bali, or partake in the year-round adventure activities including Winter skiing, Summer hiking and mountain biking that are right on your doorstep from the gorgeous COMO Alpina Dolomites. Whatever your definition of adventure may be, COMO properties cater to the adventurous spirit of every traveller.

ARTISTRY

Artistry in travel manifests in myriad forms, spanning art, architecture, design, fashion, photography, and beyond. Within the COMO group, this multifaceted embrace of artistry is palpable, reflected in the meticulous attention to creative detail evident across every COMO property. The modern masterpiece of COMO Alpina Dolomites features striking contemporary architecture in the circular ‘Chalet’ building, with a nod to its rugged surroundings in not only its design (including the entrance designed to resemble a rock crevice) but also the use of local stone and wood. Fashion takes the runway at COMO Metropolitan Singapore, with Club 21 providing a dedicated luxury designer-label shopping concierge experience, including personal stylist appointments and a personal shopper, all within the comfort of your hotel room. COMO Uma Canggu reflects artistry in the use of hanging day beds, unique colourful sculptural shapes and contemporary design in their open-air COMO Beach Club, complimenting the fun, laidback surf vibes of the local area. Finally, for guests wishing to create some travel artistry of their own, a photographic tour through Bhutan with renowned photographer Michael Turek, departing from Uma Paro Bhutan in late October 2024 is a perfect way to light that artistic spark within.

CULTURE & COMMUNITY

At COMO Hotels and Resorts, the Y Factor of Community is woven into the very fabric of each property, creating spaces that foster connection, collaboration, and a sense of belonging. From the warm welcome extended by staff to the inclusive atmosphere cultivated in communal spaces, COMO prioritises the well-being and engagement of every single guest. Many COMO properties are family-friendly, incorporating dedicated Play By COMO kids clubs at COMO Uma Canggu, COMO Maalifushi, COMO Point Yamu Phuket, and COMO Parrot Cay. These clubs serve as a cornerstone for fostering multi-generational family getaways, allowing children and adults to partake in separate vacation activities while also providing opportunities for shared, all-ages family experiences destined to forge lasting memories. Through locally inspired activities, cultural experiences, and partnerships with community organisations, COMO encourages guests to immerse themselves in the vibrant tapestry of each destination.

GENEROSITY

As global citizens, it is vital to give back to communities less fortunate, and as global travellers, it is particularly vital to leave the areas we travel through in a better state than when we arrived. At the heart of the COMO Hotels and Resorts group lies the COMO Foundation, a beacon of compassion and generosity dedicated to making a positive impact on communities and environments worldwide, particularly focused on closing the gender gap for women and girls in their ability to access vital goods and services, education and livelihoods. From supporting local education initiatives to championing environmental conservation efforts, the COMO Foundation is committed to leaving a lasting legacy of empowerment and sustainability. Through its philanthropic programs, the COMO Foundation embodies our shared values of our Y Factor of Generosity. COMO Foundation has reached 22 countries and helped more than 9 million women and girls worldwide.

NATURE & SUSTAINABILITY

Our Y Factor of Nature & Sustainability is also woven into the very fabric COMO Hotels and Resorts operations in each destination around the world. Aside from the obvious natural wonders surrounding most COMO locations, even their urban hotels in bustling cities such as the COMO Metropolitan Bangkok use nature and sustainability within the property to offer a calm oasis from the busy streets outside. COMO Shambhala Estate in Bali offers immersive wellness experiences deeply rooted in nature, allowing guests to reconnect with the environment and find inner balance. At COMO Uma Punkha and COMO Uma Paro in Bhutan, the local government incentivises travellers to extend their stay through the Sustainable Development Fee, contributing to the country’s carbon-negative status. COMO's overall dedication to sustainability extends beyond individual properties, with initiatives like waste reduction, energy conservation, and community engagement woven into the luxurious, but also environmentally responsible, guest experience.

TASTE

Tasting the flavours and local cuisines around the world is such an integral part of the travel experience - and one of our most popular Y Factors.  Across each of their properties, COMO celebrates the rich tapestry of flavours found in each destination, inviting guests to explore, savour, and get “hands on” with the essence of local cuisine.

Belgravia meets Bali every afternoon at the COMO Halkin London, as the quintessentially English tradition of afternoon tea is skilfully reinterpreted, inspired by the principles and cuisine of the COMO Shambhala Kitchen. Each delectable morsel aims to maintain the nutritional integrity of the original foods’ essential components, allowing guests to benefit from the ‘life force’ of specific ingredients—many of them raw, brought from field to table with minimal delay. At Podere San Filippo, an 8th-century farmhouse stay situated within the grounds of COMO Castello Del Nero in the heart of Tuscany’s Chianti wine region, the black truffles found in the woods surrounding the property are a culinary delicacy, with guests given the opportunity to spend an hour with the hotel’s professional truffle hunter and his loyal Lagotto Romagnolo dogs, as they use their finely honed sense of smell to hunt down these ‘black diamonds’. And whilst wine tours are the most popular (and obvious) choice in France’s Burgundy wine region, the Market to Table culinary experience at COMO Le Montrachet, teams guests with a talented local chef to enjoy a morning shopping at a produce market in the heart of Beaune for fresh, local ingredients, before preparing a mouth-watering traditional four-course Côte de Beaune menu in their very own kitchen.

THE UNEXPECTED

We hold firm to the belief that the allure of the Unexpected has the potential to redefine the very essence of travel. Across the globe, COMO properties delight in weaving moments that transcend the ordinary, seeking to astonish and captivate their guests with experiences that surpass expectations and ignite pure wonder. COMO Maalifushi in the Maldives offers picnic days spent on a secluded private islet, while COMO Parrot Cay invites younger guests to look up to the heavens with a ‘Space Camp’ astronomy adventure led by an actual NASA astronaut*. And for unexpected luxury, COMO Laucala Island have their own private plane to transfer guests between the resort and Nadi airport. But that’s only the beginning, as the local experts at every single COMO property will always have unique local knowledge (and their finely curated ‘little black books’) at their fingertips to create amazing unexpected local experiences, designed to delight even the most jaded traveller. *limited dates

WELL-BEING

While each property in the COMO portfolio integrates the concepts of their Shambhala Wellness philosophy as an essential offering within their services, the jewel in the group’s wellness crown would have to be their dedicated wellness retreat, COMO Shambhala Estate, just out of Ubud, in the heart of beautiful Bali. Taking a holistic approach to wellness, and redefining the concept based on prevention rather than cure; referencing “un-ease” rather than “dis-ease” within the body. The COMO Shambhala Estate offers several personalised wellness paths for guests to choose from, depending on their desired outcome. From the detailed Integrated Wellness Plan, complete with expert diagnostics to gain an intricate understanding of the wellness needs of your body and mind, to the Fit, Detox, Nourish, and Connect plans, for those guests with more specific goals, the COMO Shambhala Estate is a haven designed to recalibrate the physical and emotional wellbeing of every guest.
