Design-Led Discoveries: Leora’s L.E. Miami Edit

L.E Miami is often described as the “Art Basel of contemporary travel trade shows”, a bold celebration of the world’s most forward-thinking leaders in luxury hospitality. This year, the event in Miami’s vibrant creative hub reaffirmed why it has become the premier platform for discovering the industry’s most innovative and daring properties.

For Y Travel’s Leora Hart, whose architectural heritage runs deep, her father is a celebrated architect - L.E Miami perfectly blends her passions: exceptional design, immersive hospitality, and creativity that turns ordinary stays into extraordinary experiences. With an eye attuned to the dialogue between form and function, she has curated her standout discoveries from this year’s showcase, mixing familiar favourites with fresh, visionary brands that are shaping the future of luxury travel.

"The most exciting hotels today aren’t just places to sleep, they are immersive design experiences that tell a story from the moment you arrive. At L.E Miami, I found properties that truly understand this shift in luxury travel."

FRANCE - CHAPITER SIX HOTELS

Leora Loves - Alternative French Hospitality & Artistic Vision

"Chapitre Six demonstrates how art and design can define the soul of a hotel. Young Parisian entrepreneur Nicolas Saltiel revitalises boutique properties with top-tier architects and designers, creating iconic stays. From the pink chic Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel to the quirky Hotel La Ponche in St Tropez, once Brigitte Bardot’s haunt, and the sophisticated Hotel Hana and Monsieur George in Paris, each property tells a story. With two new openings each year, including Alpine retreats and an artist residency in Barbizon, Chapitre Six is shaping the future of French hospitality."

UK - 1HOTEL MAYFAIR

Leora Loves - Biophilic Design & Sustainable Luxury

"We’ve admired 1Hotels at Y Travel for years. Our mid-year staff retreat at their Melbourne property was unforgettable. Their seamless blend of sustainability and design speaks directly to what our clients seek. I was particularly captivated by the Mayfair property, with its signature biophilic interiors, nestled near Buckingham Palace, as well as the brand-new 1 Hotel Copenhagen, which even features a secret garden."

PORTUGAL - SUBLIME HOTELS

Leora Loves - Contemporary Portuguese Sophistication

"Sublime Comporta captures the essence of nature, simplicity, and sophistication. Seventy-five minutes south of Lisbon, the resort is nestled in eight unspoiled villages, epitomising slow living. With 23 rooms and suites, 22 private villas, an organic garden supplying the restaurant, and a beach club reachable by shuttle, it embodies understated luxury. Its sister property, Sublime Lisboa, is an intimate 15-room jewel in a 100-year-old building in Amoreiras, offering the perfect urban counterpoint."

MEXICO - LA VALISE HOTELS

Leora Loves – Authentic Mexican Artistry

"La Valise was my standout discovery at L.E Miami. Each of its five properties across Mexico is stylish, locally authentic, and entirely unique. I adored the barefoot luxury of La Valise Tulum, the cliffside charm of La Valise Mazunte, the bold geometric designs of La Valise San Miguel, and the 1920s French-style hôtel particulier of La Valise Mexico City in Roma. Every detail is locally sourced and crafted, reflecting genuine design integrity – something many brands promise, few deliver."

SPAIN - MONUMENT BARCELONA

Leora Loves - Michelin-Starred Modernist

"The Monument Hotel is a family-owned treasure housed in a 1898 Modernist building. Its 84 rooms feature exposed brick and soaring ceilings, but the standout is the culinary vision of Martín Berasategui, the rooftop pool, and the concierge team, Denis, Juan, and Xavi, all holders of the Golden Keys of Les Clefs d’Or. They are the true gatekeepers of exceptional Barcelona experiences."

ITALY - CHAPTER CHIANTI

Leora Loves - Village Transformation & Artistic Innovation

"Chapter Roma has long been a favourite for design-focused clients, and the response has been ecstatic. When I learned of Chapter’s upcoming Chianti property, opening in early 2026, I knew it would be exceptional. The owners have purchased an entire village, including a historic church, transforming it into a modern Tuscan retreat with in-house wine and olive oil production, immersive culinary experiences, three swimming pools, and even a treehouse for children."

PORTUGAL - AREIAS DO SIEXO

Leora Loves: Sustainable Luxury Without Compromise

"Just 45 minutes north of Lisbon, Areias do Seixo is where seaside meets countryside in magical harmony. The property’s design repurposes materials from the land, from old sifters to railway wood, creating a unique, textured environment. Guests can enjoy daily yoga, Pilates, sound journeys, and trekking. Boutique rooms for couples and villas for families make it a celebration of authentic, joyful sustainability."

ITALY - PALAZZO RIPETTA ROME

Leora Loves - Historical Conversion & Local Artisan Collaboration

"Palazzo Ripetta is another gem we love recommending. This 350-year-old building evolved from convent to noble residence, and now stands as a Relais & Châteaux property with architectural touches by Italian modernist Luigi Moretti. Every object is crafted by local artists, the Sunday brunch is legendary, and through a partnership with Torre Sponda in Positano, guests can experience both Roman city culture and exclusive Amalfi Coast beaches."

"What excites me most about these discoveries is how each property refuses to follow a template. They are creating their own design languages, service philosophies, and definitions of luxury. This is the future of boutique hospitality."
